With over 50 banks required to send documents and financial information to the Bank of Thailand daily, Hyro Asia ensured the transfer of documents and financial information would be a smooth and secure process.
The Background
Over 50 banks are required to send documents and financial information to the Bank of Thailand daily. But management of this process is complex and difficult to supervise as many banks have different software & hardware systems that need to be integrated.
IBM was approached by the Bank of Thailand and concluded that international standardised web services would provide the most efficient solution to the bank’s information transfer problems.
Microsoft’s Visual Studio was also chosen as the software development tool. As Hyro is Microsoft’s most experienced Gold Partner in Thailand, (we were the first to receive that accreditation) and because we have extensive experience in Visual Studio, IBM asked Hyro to work alongside them as a development partner.
The Solution
- A Hyro Thailand development team worked full-time on location at the bank to build the necessary web services for the transfer of documents and financial information.
- Our developers also provided full training and were in charge of mentoring both IBM and Bank of Thailand staff in Visual Studio, .Net technologies, plus the development and testing of code.
- Hyro were also involved in building a browser based application to manage the bank’s museum collections (using partner technology from Gallery Systems Inc. in the US).
- In order to construct the application existing green screen economic data management systems were re-developed into web friendly .Net versions. We also integrated and implemented each of them with core systems and web systems and provided all the necessary support and management in order to do so.
The Outcome
After continuously delivering a range of involved digital services projects, including the design and development of complex bi-lingual online delivery systems, Hyro now has a strong and ongoing long-term relationship with the Bank of Thailand.
What’s more, by providing the Bank of Thailand with successful organisational economic and policy information services and systems, the bank is now able to provide even greater levels of customer service.
