Rob Clarke, has over 25 years of senior management experience in a variety of industries including advertising, sports administration and private equity.
Rob's advertising career encompassed working in multinational agencies on a number of global clients in Australia, NZ and the U.K. As CEO of Leo Burnett in Australia/NZ in the late 90’s, Rob was a leading proponent of developing expertise in emerging digital and interactive services industry which underpinned the agency winning the Ad News Agency of the Year award in 2000. Shortly thereafter, Rob was appointed to head up Bcom3 in Australia/NZ, the holding company responsible for Leo Burnett, Starcom and a number of other communications and media companies. In total, 500 staff were employed in 18 companies with a combined revenue of $90 million. At this time, Rob also held he position as Chairman of the Advertising Federation of Australia (AFA). In 2002, the global agency group Publicis purchased Bcom3 worldwide. Rob then embarked on a ‘career sea change’ and took on the Chief Executive role at Brumbies Rugby based in Canberra. During his 3 years, Rob led an aggressive re-structuring programme to transform the Brumbies business into a competitive and profitable performer both on and off the field. Upon his return to Sydney, Rob joined the Australian Rugby union as Chief Operating Officer, a position he relinquished in November 2006 to become a Director of Rockridge Group a private equity investment company. Rockridge Group Investments currently include companies in the Technical, Distribution and Financial Services industries. |
